"Hands of the Master 10" 3-5
This series of monotypes are overlaid with watercolor paints. They are inspired by, and pay homage to my mentor who passed away several years ago. In the last few months of his life he molded self-portrait hands out of clay. After his death I photographed the series and have now created this series of hand-pulled monotypes in his memory. Even though the source material of each print is the same, every piece of art is individually created and overlaid with my mentor's actual watercolor paints that were given to me when I began this process. I miss his advice and direction, but I keep creating with his memory still guiding my way.
